News from a project partnering with Switzerland's first data-coop, MIDATA: approches - BFH
I've added an open-access Handbook that we have been working on
See also: a tangential Mastodon thread from Thursday.
Just presented some recent experiences at Open Education Day, where hackathons feel right at home!
"We need data collaboratives in CH and Europe. We need to learn from Elinor Ostrom, and treat hackathons as catalysts, bringing actors in certain fields together, to govern the data commons to build and govern the data commons." -- André
"Let's do it!" -- Elijah
Question: does it also help to connect with project owners by finding their github profile? (besides the media coverage of winners..)
Maybe if you organise it more regularly, a day will be enough for a hackathon-- I heard about https://open-x-day.org/ in companies being a very nice vehicle to share knowledge and discuss..
Also sounds to me like some kind of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdegree (in german https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro-Credential )
