Reporting on the latest edition of Hack the Hackathon

↓  Open

An unconference series and interdisciplinary community exploring scientific collaboration, learning, and civic engagement through hackathons.

HTH is a:

  • Hybrid series supporting individuals worldwide!
  • Come together and work on projects for the broader hackathon organizer and researcher community
  • Learn about the various types of hackathons we all represent
  • Learn new ways of hosting and researching hackathons
  • Make connections with organizers, researchers, events, communities, and more
  • HtH alternates between the Americas and Europe each year (so far)

We are collaborating already with several people through this, such as by using the survey template that has been developed at HTH4 (published on Zenodo) in our own research projects. The team is now planning the next edition to take place in Copenhagen on Oct 20-24, 2025:

Hack the Hackathon 5 will be held as a hybrid meeting in at the Copenhagen University Library, Copenhagen, Denmark and online.

All attendees, sponsors, partners, volunteers and staff at our hackathon are required to agree with the Hack Code of Conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
